Tunkuwallin Recreational Fishing Club is based at Summerland Point on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie, NSW.

FUN, FISHING, FAMILY

The Tunkuwallin Recreational Fishing Club has evolved over the last 12 years to be a club supporting fishing as a recreational activity for all members of the family as well as the serious angler. The club organises many competitive and social activities aligned with fishing.

Activities

Club Competitions

The Annual Competition is made up of individual monthly competitions with points from each monthly competition accumulating for the overall competition. There are sections for Deep Sea, Rock & Beach, Estuary, Freshwater and (from 2011) Catch & Release in Bream and Flathead. There are Men's, Ladies, Junior and Sub-Junior Divisions. Lake Macquarie Combined Fishing Clubs (LMCFC)

The club is a member of the Combined Fishing Clubs. Monthly Competitions align with the LMCFC from March to September each year and culminating at the LMCFC championships held each October.

Junior Clinics

In association with the Swansea Fisheries Office the club holds regular fishing clinics for juniors. These have been quite successful with many participants going on to win trophies in monthly and annual competitions.

Interclub Competitions

In 2009 the club held its first interclub event (competition) with Swansea Bowling Club and this proved to be a lot of fun. In 2011 this will again occur, along with an interclub competition with our neighbours at Gwandalan Bowling Club. Click on 'Events Calendar' for dates, etc.

Fishing Trips Away

Each year the club organises at least one fishing weekend away. These are primarily social fishing events (very social, actually). The next trip away will be to Harrington in February, 2011. Again, click on the 'Events Calendar' for dates, etc.
